Norm Fink is president and founder of our sales and consulting partner, NPF Consultants. Norm has extensive experience in working with project-based manufactures and specialty trades, having been a third-generation owner of an architectural woodworking firm.

In 1980, Norm was the co-founder of a software company that revolutionized estimating, production engineering, and shop drawing requirements resulting in significant time reductions and increased accuracy.

Anthony Luby

SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Europe

Anthony has been working with various software applications since the early 1990’s as a technician and a geophysicist. His educational background: BSc.(hons) in Information Technology, Dublin City University ; MSc.(hons) in Data Analytics, University College Dublin and MRes in Geophysics, Leeds University, supports his position in the company as does his experience with data management and analysis. Anthony resides and supports customers in Ireland. 

 

Chris Philips

Najam Khan

SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Najam Khan recently joined Crow’ Nest after working for Custom Source Woodworking in Tumwater, Washington, for five years. Khan primary work experience has been in operations management, operations research, and statistical analysis. Khan is currently finishing his Doctorate in Ag, Biosystems, and Mechanical Engineering at South Dakota State University with a focus on particle systems, fluid dynamics and microeconomics. Khan completed a Master’s degree in Production and Operations Management with an emphasis in Industrial Manufacturing and Systems Engineering prior to enrolling in the doctoral program. He was also awarded the MAGS/ProQuest Distinguished Master's Thesis Award in the fields of Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Engineering for this work. Khan's main areas of interest are project management, forecasting, numerical optimization, job shop scheduling, time series analysis, inventory and capacity management, systems and statistical analysis, queuing models, and industrial engineering.

 

Tim Hitchcock

BUSINESS MANAGER

Tim served as a Navy combat medic on global deployments and worked in various civilian medical roles. He founded a medical service company in 1989, where he built computer networks for remote work and developed custom software with his son Paul. He coached small startups in lumber milling, biodiesel production, and EV charging and manufacture. In 2006 he joined a startup team in Finland and stays in Helsinki whenever he can. Tim is semi-retired in greater Portland, Oregon, and joined Crows Nest in 2019. He provides administrative support for finance, sales and customer service, writes some technical articles, and helps manage the IT infrastructure. He holds a Bachelors Degree in liberal and fine arts.
